Catherine Tate to be Doctor's new Companion Page 7

And I love Doctor Who.

Ah, but do you 'love' him.

I hope they bring the Master back next series. I miss him.

I've gone right off Frankie...

Sorry, mate I used to love Doctor Who but after the first four doctors the show ran out of storylines and good actors to play the doctor... the rest of it, not to get took subjective mind, has been undiluted sewage except for maybe our Billie who done good!

Tom Baker
William Hartnell
Jon Pertwee
Patrick Troughton

'These were the best, forget the rest!'

Ah, all the ones I've not watched!
(Well, I've seen a few Tom Bakers.)

B) He's thick. Take Billy Piper - why doesn't he just go back in time again to when he met her and make sure they didn't go to wherever they went when she died.

Don't you know anything?

I thought everybody knew that he can't control where or when the TARDIS will turn up. At least that's what it was like at the start.

Thinking about it when it first started in about 1963 he was an old man and had met the Daleks before - but maybe he hadn't really because he went back in time later to meet them before he was younger and then after he'd got older he'd beaten them afterwards.

Right... *scratches head*

All I know is it's become painful to watch in the past series. Partly the Freema girl, and partly the writing. And Tennant's 3 facial expressions and 4 tones of voice.

Freema's OK - but a Jock trying to be cockney just doesn't work!

I hate Jockneys. What I want to know is what peopel think the ladie's hand grabbing the ring at the end of the last episode was. Do you think the master regenerated as a woman?

I think his English accent is amazing.
The best I've ever heard, actually.

It is rather good for a Scot, I agree.

Storylines, acting, accents, pretty assistants, mockney, jockney... all these things are subject to personal opinion of course. For me, the appeal still lies with the TARDIS as go-anywhere and any-when vehicle. What a simple but brilliant concept! Now all they need to do is use it more...

Doctor Who omnibus on UKTV Drama today, just seen Pertwee and Davison.

If only HG Wells had thought of it Whistling nnocently
