Open mike plan or other to test TV comedy/drama

I am looking for possible places to try out some new material for a potential pilot TV comedy/drama in the north west and wonder if there are any places of interest. It is based on a key character getting involved with stand-up as a cover to investigate some mysterious happenings etc. Can't say too much more at this stage.

I'm a bit confused by this, Perryscope. Standup is not that commercial an idea for TV comedy-comedians who do standup appear on Live on the Apollo and panel shows. Things that work on stand up may not work in sketch shows or sitcoms.
