The reason I like to wait for boxset is that you can save some money by avoiding having to buy the same DVD twice. For example, about two years ago this animated show called Dr. Katz was released on DVD here in America. They released season 1 and season 2 individually and I quickly bought both. About 6 months later they released a box set (the only way you could get seasons 3-6 on DVD) and so I essentially ended up paying for seasons 1 and 2 twice.

I find it depends more on the distributor than the series. Network release boxes for everything; sometimes first, with no individual releases. 2entertain release less boxes, and take longer to do so. But 4DVD are the most money-hungry unscrupulous bastards, and release a box after every series, even if they know that future series have already been ordered (Peep Show is a good example).
Had never seen this show before today. However, watched four episodes on YouTube and think it's great. It's like an opera of swearing sometimes, but necessary swearing. Chris Langham by the way, is fantastic in it.

It seems that even when the court decides you're not that guilty, the papers will ultimately judge you.
Even though I don't agree with what he did (and unfortunately this is what he'll always be remembered for, not for being a good actor) I think he's great in The Thick Of It. Very funny indeed.

I don't understand this. Surely it is for the court to decide/ consider motivation in any crime!? If he had a genuine and legally acceptable reason to research he wouldn't have been in any trouble would he? Otherwise anyone who looked at the evidence would have to be locked up as well!
That aside Jacob you should go see the film too if you haven't already. Top stuff.

It's not for the court to decide, but to consider; yes. I'm unfamiliar with the technicalities of the relevant legislation, but the crime was accessing it at all. The reasons for doing so aren't really taken into account, AFAIK. And the detectives would be on some kind of ... Gawd, I can't think of the word, but they're doing it as part of a criminal investigation, not looking at it of their own accord or as something which would interest them.
Or something.
Anyway. Definitely echo the comments on his acting talent and performance in The Thick Of It. As can be expected I'm not a massive fan of the show, but Langham plays the character perfectly. That almost childlike innocence when he's sat in the tiny kitchen but in Number 10 is brilliant.
Armando Iannucci has been tweeting to the effect that the new Thick of It will be on at the end of this month, BBC2 with BBC Four repeats.
