Don't know if I can be too optimistic after "Back to Earth" last year. Kinda makes me sad cause I really do love Red Dwarf.

Cool
Here's the Chortle link. You know, the one from Chortle. That other comedy website. Chortle. http://www.chortle.co.uk/news/2010/06/06/11135/red_dwarf_will_be_back
Let's see what happens...
Dan
Trust me, we don't remove links to Chortle.
What's the point in putting the link up? I already pasted all the info. It's not as though I was trying to hide the fact it was From Chortle, but isn't it simpler just to copy and paste rather than follow a link?
The point was this https://www.comedy.co.uk/forums/post/619301/ rather than any real need to post the link itself.
Dan
Ah yes, that was quite cheeky.
But we don't go around hunting for links to Chortle to remove as a rule, I promise. I guess he thought our guide was more informative.
That's fine, but I reckon an 'edited by' would have been appropriate in that case.
Dan
True, true.

That's what I was getting at as well Matt. Wasn't gunning for you, honest
Quote: Matthew Stott @ June 6 2010, 6:35 PM BSTI wondered what was happening with this, what with the specials (whatever you actually thought about them) being such a big hit for Dave:
"Red Dwarf is to return for two more series, star Craig Charles has revealed.
The actor let slip the news about the new episodes, which will be filmed next year, while standing in for Janice Long on her Radio 2 show.
He said: 'I can now announce we're going to be doing two more series, starting in January next year.'
Admitting he wasn't supposed to reveal the news, he said: 'I got the call today and it said "Craig, can you do it in January?" I said "Yeah, I'll sort it out."
'I'm a bit nervous though - I don't know if I'll be able to fit into leather trousers anymore.'
The revival comes after a three-part special, Back To Earth, attracted three million viewers to Dave last year.
Robert Llewellyn, who plays robot Kryten, confirmed that the cast were being approached about a reunion, which will again air on Dave.
He Tweeted: 'All I know is we weren't meant to say anything yet, but Craigy got an exclusive in. I know virtually nothing, truly
'All I know is that we are being sounded out for availability for next January to record series 10. The two series thing is news to me.
'I have not read any scripts, or even heard from Doug if he has fnished writing them. I know Dave are v. excited about a new series.'"
I'm a bit confused about this "news". We've known for months that a 10th series (or at least scripts for such) had been commissioned. All that appears to be new is that they a) want to start filming in January, and b) there may or may not be an 11th too. The latter of the two appears somewhat flimsy and confused at that.

Well, it's proper confirmation, I suppose. I for one hadn't heard, though I assumed there would be after the success of the specials.

Ah yes, I had read that, but then things had gone quiet. I thought things may have hit a stumbling block. I suppose it's good news if they're taking their time and haven't rushed it to get it on our screens this year.
Still haven't watched the specials yet. Dave never seem to repeat them

Don't worry; I've not got past Series 3, episode 4, I think it was, yet.
