Mobile Phone Manners.

What annoys you about people using mobile phones when you're out with people or just in general?

I really can't stand it when your hear people in public toilets answer their phones.... just yuck. Also people in cinemas or at shows who don't put them on slient.

If out with friends etc I don't mind if they answer the odd text message or take a quick call. I do get pissed if they sit there checking facebook at all or spend an age on the phone just having a catch up chat. Phones have this great function now that means not only can you recieve calls but you also have the ability to CALL people when it suits you.

Does anyone have any others?

I have to confess that since moving to the other side of the classroom, I am now as big an offender on checking email during class as the student I used to shout at this time last year for having their phones on desks. ;)

I often appear to be a 'facebook checker' when I'm actually taking notes on my phone about the conversation being held around the table. Rather than rely on my memory, I jot down pertinent information, but this is obviously seen as rude by people who assume I'm playing angry birds or something. So now I have to actually tell people what I'm doing..but I've found they still don't like it. So I think we should cut a bit of slack to people who peer at their phone, because they might not be doing what you think.
