American/Canadian Stand ups

So, being that I'm in the states I'd like to know if you anyone has any favourite American or Canadian comedians. I live in LA and other than the obvious names you'd know I have a few comics I always go out of my way to see. I spend a lot of time in Seattle and up in Vancouver (Canada) too. Just wondering if anyone knows any comics I may never of heard of out this way I should check out.

Personally speaking, the only US/Canadian comedians that I really get to see are the two or three that pop up on our panel shows over here: Reginald D. Hunter, Rich Hall and Stewart Francis.

I think Hunter actually lives over here, and don't know how often he performs in the States.

My current favourites includ Paul F Tompkins and Maria Bamford.

So is this Stew Francis the same one who used to present Crackerjack?

It's the Steve Wright/Steven Wright thing all over again...

There's also Craig Campbell.

Russell Peters is pretty funny.

Doug Stanhope is masterful.

Here he is less than impressed with the HIGNFY production team trying to 'panhandle' some free tickets-

Hi Bishop,

I think Doug Stanhope and Joe Rogan are our greatest living comics.

I think American stand ups tend to master it. I really like Bill Burr, Sam Tripoli, Tom Segura, Adam Carolla, Sean Rouse (who's really ill at the moment) Dave Attell, Joey Diaz, Eddie Iifft and Bert Kreiscer.

Duncan Trussel is staring to get to headline status which is good because he's funny. Nick Swardson, Bryan Callen, Jim Norton and Patton Oswalt also.

Over here, worth admiring, we have, erm. If Tom Stade was English he'd be our best English stand up.
