The Podcast Project

Oh yes that's right another project...:D

I've been thinking up ideas for new podcasts recently as I haven't done any of my As Soon As Plausible ones for a long while as I've been busy with my sitcom scripts, but I feel like starting up some podcasts again but I want to do something different to my last one, with hopefully more people involved.

The idea I had was to do a spoof "kids show" podcast, now by this I don't mean like a spoof Teletubbies etc, I mean like a spoof radio show aimed at kids, with various hosts talking about different things kids would be interested in. I was thinking we could make 6x30 minute episodes and if they turn out pretty good we could then send them off to various radio stations and get feedback.

It's just a basic idea right now, but ideas are welcome.

So, actually aimed at adults. Right?

Yeah aimed at adults but using the "kids show" format.

What was that show they've started on Monday nights on BBC 3 or 4? That was a spoof kids thing.

Good. I like the idea.
Do you mean Biffovision?

Biffovision only got a pilot and no more sadly. I thought it was rather good.

Oh so the idea has already been done?

Not on the radio!

I'd be interested Martin sounds like a good idea. Everythings been done before so I wouldn't worry about it.

I like the sound of it. Let's have bits with all those people who used to visit your school to warn you about everything under the sun.

"Boys and girls, this is a condom and hundreds of children sniff them illegally every year".

I like the idea of a team written podcast, but I'm not sure about the subject?

You thinking Blue Peter Parody?

Hi, lots of daft ideas. See if this gives you any - some I've been developing. http://fredpeters.podbean.com/

I like the idea of it too.

Yeah kind of like a Blue Peter parody I'm sure it's been done before but I can't think of anything recent that's done something like that in audio form.

Glad that people are interested, like I said it's basically just an idea right now but keep throwing ideas around and we can see what we can come up with.

Try listening to BBC Radio 7, that's a kids radio channel, it should give you some ideas.
