Best Esmonde and Larbey Sitcom? Page 2
Cheers Aaron, I think it's one of the best sitcom movies I've seen, containing some cracking dialogue.
Although I love Ever Decreasing Circles, and The Good Life, my favourite is always Please Sir!. It's a series I was very pleased to see come out in its entirety on DVD, and The Fenn Street Gang too. It feels very poignant now that three of the leads have died, and seems very nostalgic to watch.
What a list though - I don't think I've heard of about 3/4 of them.
One of the best writers -- Larbey -- and the best writing teams, in my not-always-so-humble opinion.
Right up there with ___________ (fill in the blank).
Please Sir! was okayish, not as good as some make out. In fact I'm very surprised it was written by the same team who made The Good Life, a cracking piece of work.
