I found this really funny before even finishing the Mr Holden line.
Not that I know what I'm talking about, but I think it seems that the actual 'framing' joke is not as strong as the spelling of the name, although sound in theory.
So perhaps if it was more obvious to more people - for example, just plucking a random well known shagger out of the air: "Hello, Greater London Authority..." "H for Hard on..." "I'll just connect you to Boris Johnson's department..."
Not very good, but you get the gist.
But I don't think it matters, I find something very funny about a character spelling his name like that, it could easily belong in a sitcom like Bottom or something.
