Yes they have, and who said anything about record player, which would now work off solar power anyway, apart from which, this has come up before in the actual programme and they do make a point of it being gramophone records, that is a wind up machine.

So the island just happens to have a handy solar power gramophone ?

Ha, that gave me a childhood memory.
We found a wind-up gramophone that someone had put on the local bonfire.
It still had a 78 record on it.
I got sick of hearing 'Claudette by the Everly brothers.

If Pinky and Perky were around now, they'd be subject to harrassment charges.

Listened again to the first 15 minutes of Greg Davies, as it was SO FUNNY, about his Dad who was a frustrated comedic nutcase.

Only one track of his (Madness) 8 records I liked.....................
