It needs to either have a very good point to make, or to be totally pointless. nothing in-between will do.
Some of the longest-running threads involve the passions; sex (Who do you fancy?) and anger (things that piss you off)are both huge. Also, Status report, simply because a lot of people are interested in talking about themselves.
Include = Scandal.
Avoid = religion and Politics.
So it looks like wer'e phooked.
