Tintin

I'm quite looking forward to seeing the new movie.

I even got a couple of books from the library today, to have a little read for old times sake.

Anyone here a fan of the books? Or planning to see the movie?

:) I used to read them, so nostalgia wise am intreagued.

I fapping love Tintin. I still read the books, and although at first I thought the film would be a bad idea, it actually looks really good from the trailers.

Apparently it's really good.

A chum of mine went to premiere: http://www.geekplanetonline.com/hosting/lot/blackdog/?p=episode&name=2011-10-17_blackdog_88-5.mp3

My only experience of reading Tintin books was when my dad used to drag me and my sister as kids to the Socialist club in town and we had to wait for hours in this room that had piles of them while he and his mates droaned on and on about how Michael Foot should be running this country

Which was nice

Same. Our library was ace. And it had a big fat cat.

I can't wait to see the movie, I loved Tintin books as a kid.

I hated Tintin. Little twat. Ugh there was nothing ever interesting funny or clever about any of his "adventures". F**k Off with that 'There's Something About Mary' hairstyle as well.

You are a wrong'n and no mistake.

There were hilaaaaaaaaarious bits. Not involving Tintin himself, obviously. But the funny characters were funny.

I used to judge my cartoons on their drawings. For example, Warners Brothers got a thumbs up. But Tintin had a weird art style that left me colder than...
