I had some deep thick piles once.
I remember the stars of British film paving slab idea in Leicester Square that was launched amid much trumpeting and celebrity guffawing back in the early 90s. The council got bored of it after a few years and threw all the feet and hand prints in a skip never to be seen again. I bet someone liberated one or two of them and now uses a print of John Mills shoes as a novelty door stop. I wish the Blackpool carpet better luck.
