Has this been done before?

I had this idea for a sketch:

Man walking down road.

TRAMP: Spare change?

MAN: Sorry mate, I've got no change.

TRAMP: That's alright I do credit cards.

Tramp pulls out credit card machine.

MAN: Oh, alright then.

Man Inserts credit card and waits.

TRAMP: Insert pin number.

Man inserts pin number and waits for transaction to be completed.

Tramp pulls credit card machine down.

TRAMP: Thank you.

Man walks off.

But has it been done before? I feel like I saw something similar ages ago or subconsciously I know it from somewhere.

So if you know it has been done before and on what show please tell me.

I've seen it quite a few times, but usually with a prostitute and one of those old roller credit card machines.

Sort of an 80s joke.

How about this:

MAN: (Smirking)
Do you take credit cards.

TRAMP:
Yes Actually I do.

(Tramp takes a chip and pin machine out of his grubby raincoat. Man looks shocked and hands over card. Tramp glances at the card.)

TRAMP:
American Express! Are you taking the piss!

Alternatively, the man gives the tramp 50p by card payment and asks for £20 cashback.

The basic idea may not be original, but any idea can be made fresh with a new twist or a different angle.

Mighty Boosh has a version of this joke, but as 404 said, the idea is out in public enough that you can make it your own with a new angle

Surely she should swipe it in the slot.

:D

Or how about the tramp accepts the credit card and then hands the man a shiny new loyalty points card.

This. That's a new angle that is.

Ah right, that's where I saw it!

In that case I won't bother with it.
