As a kid I was only allowed to watch some of the sketches of the Fast Show. So my memories of the show was as The Fast-foward Show most of the time.

Did love a bit of Jesse's Diets and Ted and Ralf though.

Next week's Episode sees Ted & Ralph being brought back up to date. This week's is all about the classic sketches. Cheesy Peas anybody?

Here is a crafty sneaky peek look at tomorrow's episode. We have the tailors talking dirty to a looter!!

These have been great fun and a chance to warm oneself in a bit of nostalgia too. Really nice to see Simon Day, Charlie Higson, John Thompson and Arabella Weir back on our (computer) screens doing some comedy again too. All great performers.

The only depressing thing to note is that we don't have any really good new sketch shows on TV thesedays which bear comparison.

"Orange!"

Only watched the first one but it was funny and well put together and is a good reminder of how solid the TV show was.

I find it interesting that Charlie Higson has had so many 'failures' in TV - thinking Swiss Toni, Randall and Hopkirk - when he's obviously a man with tremendous talent and great ideas. In a way he reminds me of Steve Coogan - somehow he hasn't yet come into his kingdom - and perhaps may never.

Randall and Hopkirk didn't work for a number of reasons - alright, one - Bob Mortimer's acting - but it prototyped the modern fantasy/SF template for shows like Torchwood and Doctor Who and Sherlock.

Higson is reasonably successful in bookshops, I think.

I watched the first couple of these and was glad they were ok. You don't want to taint the memories too much. I do find it much more comfortable watching things on TV though
