We do the Help! I've Written a Script workshop, which is for those who've written a script and want feedback on it - attendees get a CD of the script reading plus feedback from us and, more importantly, the actors. The next one's on November 12 in London:

https://www.comedy.co.uk/sitcom_mission/workshops/1/

We're also working on a workshop about creating stories and plotting an episode which would lead on very well from the Introduction course, which centres on creating characters. We should have it up and running for later in the year.

Hey it may feel like summer out there.. but it is already later in the year! :D

There's three months left... though our Lidl has already got mini stollen cakes in.

Mr Ambassador, with all these feedback options you are surely spoiling us.

Busy, busy, busy. Sitcom Trials entered. Short story comp entered. Polishing my script for channel 4 writing opportunity and I've got to knock something up for Sitcom Mission whilst having a ton of stuff on at work.

Would anybody like to section me for my own safety?

Aren't you writing this from Broadmoor? You say 'a ton of stuff on at work', but sewing mailbags isn't really work, is it Sean?

Not if you enjoy it as much as I do, no.

And by the way it's time to VOTE over on the Sitcom Trials thread. All entries are in, sorry if you missed the deadline. Now you get to read all the scripts in contention (only 17 this month) then give a Twitter length review to prove you've read it, and vote YES, MAYBE or NO.

Details on the Sitcom Trials Manchester thread. Cheers.

Last call for attendees for Introduction to Sitcom Writing in London on Saturday:

https://www.comedy.co.uk/sitcom_mission/workshops/2/

Big discounts for two or three people booking together.

Tip: Don't discount last minute bookings on workshops.

The discounts have always been there. The last thing we want to do is punish people who sign up to the workshops early.

Coolio!

Some feedback from our Introduction to Sitcom Writing workshop on Saturday:

"I am still smiling from the weekend. Got a great deal out of it ...I think what you're doing is great. It's really inspiring. And the fact that all of it is about giving other people struggling in a tough industry help and opportunities. So thanks very much!!"

"I had an absolutely fantastic day. I thought both you and Simon were great at encouraging us all to just go for it and that is one of my biggest problems. I felt inspired and excited after the day"

"Absolutely LOVED IT!"

We've got another workshop on Saturday 22 October, further details here: https://www.comedy.co.uk/sitcom_mission/workshops/2/

Cheers, Declan

There are still places left on the workshop next Saturday. See 'Workshops' page for details.

We've just got back from Cambridge where we had a brilliant workshop at the ADC Theatre. Lovely venue and cambridge looked fabulous in the sunshine.

Good to know. But perhaps keep this thread for the Sitcom Mission - not the workshops.

But perhaps keep this thread for the Sitcom Mission - not the workshops.

It's in our interest to teach people how to write for us because we want to stage the very best material we can, so the workshops and the Sitcom Mission are hardly separate. That's why we promote them both here.
