"This up-and-coming US star is already developing a reputation for fearless political comedy, with some calling him an heir to the crown of the late, great George Carlin. He gets our seal of approval." Time Out Sydney

Lee Camp is not afraid of talking about the truth. He told Fox News, he told corporate America, and now, on the back of his successful Edinburgh Fringe solo debut, he is here to tell you. A 'comedy evangelist [with] blistering punchlines' (The Guardian), in Yet Another American Mistake, no injustice escapes Camp's sharp wit and biting commentary during his quest to right society's wrongs one laugh at a time.

Lee Camp was not always like this. He spent five years touring all over the US, headlining over 500 college and university shows and generally being quite polite, thank you very much. Then his political awareness and resultant anger grew, and by chance he was given the ultimate left-wing comedic platform - an invitation to appear on News Corp's Fox News.

No foam pie on a plate for Camp. Rather than sticking to the pre-approved jokes, Camp attacked the network live on air as 'a parade of propaganda' and 'a festival of ignorance'. Subsequent invitations were rapidly withdrawn, death threats were received, and Camp's name as a comedian and activist could not be suppressed. Colleges no longer wanted to book him, but in their place came support from millions of new fans across the world.

Camp can count Paul Provenza, Dick Gregory and Roseanne Barr among his fans. He has appeared frequently as a comedic commentator on TV, and has written for The Onion and The Huffington Post amongst others. He is the creator of the popular Moment of Clarity web series, three-minute episodes of crackling political satire on the issues infiltrating our society - from why women are the only ones who can save the world, to why evil people always have the best plans.

His Edinburgh Fringe debut received four star reviews from The List 'he winds his gripes into an articulate, impassioned argument, twisting words into fiery barbs so awful you can't help laugh, and then be impressed... he is galvanising audiences with his call to arms', The Skinny 'few shows this Fringe are as word-perfect in their construction... It's a ferocious, clever, articulate and funny show from a comedian with a big future', Fest Magazine and The Herald.

Yet Another American Mistake showcases Camp's stylish use of satire, lively rhetoric and original, rapid-fire lambasting of all that is wrong with our society. The revolution may not be televised (on Fox News, at least), but it's coming to the UK this summer.

Hope to see some of you there x

If you want to see a very funny comedy tornado verbally raping society with the power of a small atom bomb Lee is the one to provide it.

What the f**k is this all about? I couldn't make sense of the title - then saw the length of the post and gave up.

Language Chappers!!

It's a club promoter promoting a gig in Leeds at Mr Bens tonight for Lee Camp, who is without a doubt a genuinely exceptional talent. Look him up.

You ''don't like stand up'' so it probably won't concern you.

Sorry but I couldn't make sense of the title.

This clip is really funny to see, the newscaster has no clue what to say next and what they cut away to, actually proves the whole point even more. Laughing out loud
