Loved it.

Properly made me laugh like a lunatic when Boss had trouble with the window blinds and "Guv, you need to look at this" made me chuckle every single time.

Lots of great sight gags and throwaway lines.

Top stuff, yes it was very much in the "Police Squad/Naked Gun" mould but that's certainly no bad thing.

Please, please let there be more.

A second mini-series has already been filmed, Tony.

Excellent, I guess the "Next time" bit at the end was a giveaway, although I wasn't sure if that was one last joke.

Will be interesting to see if they can maintain the appeal. I mean, I hope they do as I enjoyed this two-parter, but I think the characters would need to be given a bit more depth over a longer run.

If they'd taken a subtler comedic approach it would have been indistinguishable from the real thing. I wonder if John Hannah and Suranne Jones' cards have been marked down at ITV drama.

One line that sticks out for some reason; "you hacked him to bits like a marmalade bus".

Vexed.

Todd Carty was amazing!

(And I agree, the 'fruits other than oranges' poster in her kitchen was funny.)

You mean they will be forced to spend a year in Midsummer Murders?

Brian Cox as well.

Nice Neil Young reference to amuse old hippies.

Nice Neil Young to amuse old hippies.

And the young non-hippies!

This was the most I have laughed all year. My personal losing control bit was the understated 'What? Like a bassoon?' line that wifey really didn't understand at all.

Super-duper!

Haha, yes, I think that was my favourite line too, made me do a proper snorty laugh.
