A day at the Zoo

[LOC] DAY - Zoo

(A crowd of people are standing two or three deep at a wooden fence. they seem enthralled, entertained and amused by what they see.)

LITTLE GIRL:
Lift me up daddy, I can't see.

(The little girl is lifted onto her dad's shoulders, she is smiling and clearly very excited)

VOICE IN CROWD:
Awww look at that one, he's sooo cute.

SMALL BOY:
Can we take one home mummy?

(There is a ripple of laughter in the crowd)

(The camera pans round to reveal that the crowd is watching a group of Meerkats playing in their enclosure)

[CUT TO]
[LOC] DAY Zoo.

(We see a very similar looking wooden fence but this time there is no crowd, a few people briefly glance in this direction as they walk past but mostly they are just ignoring it)

(Camera pans round to reveal another animal enclosure. This enclosure is clearly designed for large primates, there is a tyre swing, several trees and large rocks. This encloure houses a group of about a dozen plump male opera singers with black hair and twirly black moustaches. They look very glum and dejected.)

Not sure I get it

The second reveal should have been a load of car insurance salesmen.

It was an okay joke. But the Meerkat is just as annoying and shouldn't be so popular.

Agreed with sooty there... Until a good minute later the penny dropped. Good though, made me laugh. Is it not maybe a tad late, are those adverts still being shown on TV?

Sadly, yes the adverts are still being shown.

No f**king way.

I too read this, was like eh? Then it hit me about 30 seconds later and did made me laugh out. Good stuff.
