Sketch Writing Page 4

In response to the original poster, I'd suggest exploring more comedy if you're dissatisfied with the X Factor in what you're currently seeing. There is so much in the country and the world, you're bound to find something that inspires you if you keep looking. And of course along the way you'll find plenty of dissatisfying stuff - just don't waste your time on that. You can't change it.

You mention comedy that makes you feel/have a fuller experience than just a clever laugh. I'd recommend Louis C.K.'s stand up and his sitcom, LOUIE.

Russell Howard's early stand up was good for touching on larger issues.

For meaningful sketch, I'd recommend Tina Fey's SNL stuff - you can find downloads online with a quick search. And Klepper and Grey's sketch about the end of a relationship is great - almost a play.

Most importantly, if you don't see what you crave, write it yourself.
