Like the wordplay, could you build it into a bigger concept, maybe integrate something like Big Society into a gameshow where representatives of modern society go as awful as they can?

As it stands it's a bit of groaner as Shandy says. I think Aj's hit the nail on the head. This is a good idea, and in the context of a 'WreX-Factor' skecth could be very funny.
