WE SEE A GAMESHOW SET WITH AN OILY HOST & A CONTESTANT SITTING IN A CHAIR
Glen:
Well it's a crucial stage of the game here on Take What You've Got. We have Linda here with a Casket that is currently worth Eight thousand pounds but has the potential to be worth up to A Quarter of a Million.
Linda:
It is a fabulous amount Glen, I could do a lot with Eight Thousand pounds.
Glen:
But the Boards tempting you isn't it?, That's what tends to happen on Take What You've Got, It's a game of timing, it's a game skill, it's a game of bluff, but above all it's a game of randomly pointing at things.
Linda:
Well Glen I've had a lovely day...
Glen:
And you want to carry on & gamble for it I'm guessing... I know I would.
Linda:
Well not really, actually I was thinking of taking the Money.
Glen:
Let me stop you there for a sec, as you know I'm not allowed to advise nor do I wish to influence your game in anyway. But you're only here in the Money seat once, I don't want you walking away tonight thinking why didn't I go on? Why was I so foolish and ugly .
Linda:
I beg your pardon?.
Glen:
What if I was to tell you that, the odds are firmly in your favour. Of the 10 remaining caskets one has eight Thousand, & the other one has a Quarter of a Million. So it's 50/50 right there. A fifty percent chance of winning big.
Linda:
Well it's not really 50 percent is it! The other 8 caskets are empty. and besides it's too risky what about the drop hole or the Moneymans filthy forfeit. And that's even if I made through the inner ring.
,
Glen:
Linda, no'one has ever won big on Take What You've Got by trying to fathom the convoluted & ever changing set of rules, The way to win Big is to believe that you are going to win big.
Linda:
Or just take the 8,000.
Glen:
Of Course. That's up to you..., but I would like to show you these pictures of former contestants crying after quitting too soon while I wave a wad of notes under your nose and the audience gently chant the word Gamble.
Linda:
It doesn't matter I've made up my mind.
Glen:
I can see that you're still unsure, and there's a hell of a lot of the show still left to go, so why don't we take a short break while you decide whether you want to Gamble or Regret.
See you in three, Oh yes You'll be back.
AS WE RETURN LINDA IS HOLDING HER EYE & SOBBING QUIETLY.
Glen:
Welcome back to TWYG. Welcome back to the Jackpot Factory. Now Linda the choice is yours, do you want to Gamble or Take what you've got.
Linda:
Whatever you want me to do just please leave me alone.
Glen:
You have to actually say it.
Linda:
Gamble
Glen:
Wow! I wasn't expecting that, you are one brave lady, now I want some positive energy from the audience now as .... Oh shame you just lost.
Linda:
Just let me go home please
GLEN WALKS TOWARDS THE CAMERA AS THE OTHER CONTESTANTS ATTEND TO LINDA & COMFORT HER
Glen:
Let me tell you , that kind of bravery is one day going to change someones life.
One day someone will win the Jackpot, or indeed any money whatsoever on...
Take what you've got.
