Smoke without fire

There is a large smouldering black patch of ground in the middle of an industrial estate.

In the middle of this large patch there is a man dressed in a security guards uniform slumped over a desk, next to him is an ashtray and a half empty bottle of vodka, next to the desk there is also a filing cabinet.

Outside the patch there are three fire engines.

The police arrive and an Inspector gets out of his car and goes over to the head fire fighter.

Inspector
"What have we got here?"

Fireman
"We had a 999 call saying there was a fire, but when we got here all there was, was that!"

The fireman points at the body over the desk.

Inspector
"Is he dead?"

Fireman
"We don't know, as soon as I saw the set up I thought it best to call you lot in"

Inspector
"Wise move, this looks like very strange"

The inspector puts on a pair of disposable forensic type gloves and tip toes into the middle of the patch which is slightly smouldering.

He walks over to the body on the desk and pokes it with a pen.
The 'body' wakes up.

Inspector
"Who the hell are you and what happened here?"

Security Guard
Looks around and is very Dazed
"I was going to ask you the same! and where the f**k has Mr Chans Chinese Lantern Factory gone?"

Everyone looks up

I've got a feeling this one might go over a few people's heads, in more ways than one...

Good stuff...

It's a nice idea.

I think you've hit the nail on the head Steve, most of my posts are more ideas than sketches, if I did the work on them they could be better.
But as I said I'm concentrating on getting my humour back at the moment so on reflection these are of a poor standard but good ideas, and that's what is keeping my spirits up as I am new to sketch writing but I'm convinced I can do outstanding plays and sitcoms.
Thanks for the thumbs up, its nice to get one from a fellow poster who actually posts their stuff.

I liked the end line :) brought a smile. But the description at the start needs to be a bit clearer and more condensed cos I found myself thinking about who was doing what too much.
