Food for thought

Three high ranking police officers sitting either side of a desk

The Chief Constable lights up a spliff, he takes a few pulls and then passes it over the desk to two inspectors who also have a blast.

Chief Constable
"Know your enemy gentleman, know your enemy; this stuff is of the highest grade ever uncovered. And the sad fact is it was grown here on the very streets we are supposed to be policing!"

The other two officers nod as they smoke the spliff and pass it back to their boss who smokes it as he continues
"I want this grower arrested as a matter of priority, before others get the idea that this town is a haven for cannabis cultivation"

Assistant Chief Constable
"It's got a very strong smell sir, we could tell the sergeants to get foot patrols to keep their noses open as well as their eyes"

Commander
"I've already done that sir to no avail, I think whoever's growing it, is doing so on the outskirts of the town, possibly on a real farm?"

Chief Constable
"You could be right commander, but who ever is growing this stuff must be using an awful lot of electricity for the lights alone and that I believe is his Achilles heel"

Assistant Chief Constable
"I will get D Division to look at all farms electricity bills etc"

Chief Constable
"I hardly think whoever's doing it will be paying for it!"

Commander
"What about Parsons Poultry Farm, he uses lights and the smell from that place would mask the cannabis"

Chief Constable
"You could be right, bit we know one thing whoever it is, the need electricity and plenty of it"

The three sit contemplating suddenly the Commander speaks up
"It's Parsons Poultry Farm, it has to be, I reckon he's using battery hens"

All three officers start to giggle

The Chief constable stops them dead with an outstretched hand then picks up the phone and speaks.
"Hello admin, could you send out for three kebab and chips please ASAP"

Assistant Chief Constable interjects.
"Plenty of Chilli oh and get three bottles of diet coke"

Commander nods.

Ich mag :)

Great stuff, again...

The only thing I would like to suggest is you could have the coppers 'giggling' instead of laughing...

Fair do Red I'll have that.

Heh... I can picture this in my head.

Shame all these are just on paper. If I saw this directed, the bit when they crack up at the mention of Battery Hens is PURE comedy.

Might even be room for a 'What we gonna charge them?' with gag somewhere...

Or 'Last time the charge didn't stick, or 'the charges got dropped.', that sort of thing...

Yeah I thought that but I couldn't think of any puns. I don't know if them joking around a bit more before ordering food would improve, or detract from the sketch though. Be a shame to tinker but that 'Charge Em' line is good.

Yeah, once they got the giggles anything is going to look/sound funny, well at least to them...

I was rather hoping others as well to be honest Red.

Great sketch - reckon this would be a good fit for Armstrong and Miller. If you have a few more you might want to send them to the producer (Caroline Morris at Hat Trick).
