Ahem easy with the old troll allegations.

Just to clarify - the advert for the course came in an email from The Sitcom Trials to me and I imagine everyone else on the yahoo account. Seems like it was some sort of forwarded spam that Kev F knew nothing about. The advert itself makes it quite clear that is an American woman and not Kev F running the online course.

So, if I understand correctly, the spam mail itself was quite clear, but you managed to turn it into a potential libel case by saying "from Kev F"?
No you understand incorrectly. Kev has pointed out to me subsequently that he had no idea he had posted this out to people. It came from his outfit - how it did, I have no idea. It's a genuine advert for a genuine course as far as I can tell.
Have you read the ad? It is quite clear Kev is not running the course but a woman in the USA. I never said or suggested he was running the course.

I haven't quoted all the ad, but your introduction does say "from Kev F" so I can see why people would think Kev F was the writer of the ad, having read your post.

If they read the ad or the thread they wouldn't!! I should have said this just in from The Trials or somesuch much as it might have been in a newsletter. It was quoted totally out of context which is why it has reared it's head.
As far as I understand it, anything that gets posted to the "messages" section of the SitsVac forum automatically gets quoted in the SitsVac digest which is mailed to everyone who joined the forum. This is, I imagine, a normal function of Yahoo groups.
So, yes, it would have been a lot clearer to mention that this was in the newsletter. Or even just mention the name of the person holding the course.
Mind you, I can't claim to be the king of clarity when it comes to forum messages, so...
Well I have apologised to Mister F for causing some confusion as I did all those months ago when the thread was first posted. It wasn't actually in a newsletter - but I am guessing that that is the sort of thing that happened. Like I say this has been quoted in the context of another issue, for some reason, and Kev only read the first line and hadn't seen it before so missed all the context etc. And Badge was right I do regret not being clearer!
