Olympic Size swimming pool

A man in a track suit is holding a towel as he helps pull a one armed swimmer out the pool.

The swimmer takes the offered towel and the two talk as they swimmer dries himself off.

Whats the target here? And what does the expression mean in this context. Going round in circles?

Admittedly, it's not the first expression that comes to mind, but it's not too big a leap

Still none the wiser.. help me out here.

Marc its just a throw away so I won't go too far into.
If anything I thought it was such an obvious punchline that I wasn't gong to put it up.

I also thought that the saying 'Going around in circles' was a well known phrase, but as its not and given you don't know the phrase you can be forgiven for not getting the joke.

He's taking the piss...

I can't respond to attacks I get in trouble, I just like to think he has never heard the phrase.

If it helps Teddy - I wasn't taking the piss.

Its not even an issue Marc, all I am doing is throwing up stuff as I think of it, some of it works other stuff falls flat.
