Newsjack - Series 5 Page 40

Oooo I like computers. Didn't realise that path was now open to me....

Laughing out loud

So what are people doing now? Writing for next week? Scouring the BBC for stories? Or waiting for 10.30?

I'm scouring the BBC for news stories.*

*masturbating furiously to internet porn.

Congrats to everyone who got stuff on, I find it odd listening to the show when you're keeping an ear open for your own stuff, it's pretty nerve-wracking, but maybe that's just me.

I realised that the writers list is alphabetical, rather than by running order, so I've got no clue what part of the show my stuff is gonna be on.

Like Dan, my day job is also as an IT consultant, peole have been laughing at the code I write for years, so I thought I'd see if those skills were transferrable.

Your multi-tasking is both impressive and frightening...

I'm not an IT consultant. I work at an exam board and found that joke in Series Five Episode One hilarious. And wished I'd written it. Although may have lost my job if I had. Still funny though.

Ha!

That is the general consensus of this internet cafe.

I'm tightening up a short story - deadline tomorrow. I won't start working on newsjack until sat. Hmmm maybe that's why I don't get anything on

I think that was by BCG regular John Kelly, and I loved it too.

Well I wrote the Prince Phillip joke near the end. I didn't think it was that funny but the audience liked it.

... and mine was the spontaneous human combustion jackapp :$

Ha ha very good - liked it!

Nice one, Humberfloob!

Well, I can't say I'm not pleased as I have my first double-credit! Woohoo!

The overdramatic Andrew Lansley was mine (though script-edited a fair bit) and the after the credits bit was mine too, though they added a bit and then went back to my Hancock's Half Hour line.

Dan

I loved the over dramatic Andrew Lansley! Went down very well with me and my housemates.

Right onto next week then...
