Newsjack - Series 5 Page 39

Congratulations Dan and everyone who got something on.

I've posted my rejected sketches and one liners in the critique thread. Please feel free to tell me how godawful they are so I can be convinced not to submit ever again (which won't happen obviously, that's cowardly!).

Yep, well done everyone (seethe, seethe) :)

Yes, I have. Ta.

Five out of five for series credits. Result: still an IT consultant...

Though my email came at 17:08, so maybe my prize is a one-minute earlier email.

Dan

Pah you just know the BBC has a history of supporting people called Dan.

Can we have one thread for failed newsjack skits. The forum is starting to look like the casualty scene from Gone with the Wind.

Nothing for me this week. I'm pretty annoyed actually - the money's gone out of my account.

Well done Dan and all others who got on this week!

Hmm, you haven't just been using your IT know-how to insert your name in to the writers list eash series, have you? have you?!

;)

IT know-how?

<hears laughing inside his head>

Dan

:( ;) Well done to all! Keep trying.

So I've got on the show tonight (for the first ever time - I'm Amardeep Singh Sandhu) but weirdly they emailed the email address I used to send last week's one-liners so I'm not sure if its last weeks one-liners or this weeks sketches/ one liners that they're going to use

Do they keep your first email address on record and use that for future submissions?

No idea, but well done and welcome to BCG!

I think they reply to the email address that you sent it in from. Sounds to me like they may have used something from that batch maybe? But I have no idea really.

Oh, congratulations too!

Dan

Congrats!

Well done, Amar - think it might be from last week's batch but come back and let us know after the show (was there any from last week you think are still relevant?)

Thanks guys! I'm taken back to be honest. I've been writing for a while (sitcom's and stuff) but never get anywhere with anything. I got once for a Writers Room submission past the 10 page stage but that was it.

Will let you know what they use, thanks again

Onwards and upwards!

This week Newsjack, three years time IT consultant :)

That's a bigger step than you think! ;)

Dan
