Ah you know what? F**k it. You can have my video too. The second half is a lot less gag-heavy, and the sound can be a little soft in places:

Well done, Nat, the crowd obviously dug you. I'd love to know what that guy's "f**king hell" as you took the stage was in reference to though.

Okay, just watched David's.

Absolutely spot on. A hell of a funny 3 minutes there fella.I would be happy if I'd paid to see you, so let's hope the rest of your stuff is as good.

Thank you very much indeed.

And now Nat...

Considering you are quite new, it was a pretty funny, accomplished set. It did drift off in the second half, but was still entertainingand never got dull.

Very promising, a good open mic performer you should get plenty of spots of this vid.

I liked that Nat! Well done!

I wish I'd seen this sooner but I never venture out of critique.

Bussell - Are you famous? You look like you are / or should be. That's one damn photogenetic smile! Anyway your bit seemed effortless, sexsexsex/sister line made me laugh most, the Im Bonding With You People line deserved a bigger recognition as well. Impressive. Do you ever do straight stand up as well?

Nat - Given the occasional neurosis that threatens to very very occasionally slip into your posts I was surprised with how confident you were on stage, I always pre judged you'd be jittery and nervous (not actually, I mean as a persona) but you had presence, excellent command, the audience were 100% with you and the Three Degrees Of Fat was my favourite bit.

I won't drone on cos this isn't critique its showcase, so well done. (i hate that term well done)

Oh, he's going to love that. :(

Did Bussell hire pretty women to be in his audience, or did the cameraman just happen to pick them all out?

off topic

By the way Matthew, been meaning to post this link for you: www.countsofthenetherworld.com/mp3s/billhicks/index.html

The only website you'll ever need. I listened to a lot of Paul F.Tomkins lately and I'd never heard of the man previously, so this is my exchange.

Oh cheers, thanks for that!

You old/young (delete as appropriate) flatterer! I'm afraid I'm not yet famous by any stretch of the imagination - even in my own household. I started out doing 'one man and a mic' stand up but lately I've been experimenting with adding slides and video. If you live in London I'm doing two free nights of comedy this week - tonight and Thursday, so come check me out. Tonight is Weirdo's Comedy at the Kings Cross Social club, the same room the video was shot at.

I have a strict "no uggers" policy at all my gigs.

Fun fact: if you go to 1:05 in the video you'll see my wife tying back her hair and doing a fabulous job faking a laugh to a joke she's heard a dozen times already.

Thanks JD. I was a drama kid, and very early on I learned how to look confident when in reality your hurt is ready to burst from your chest cavity!

David Bussell, David Bussell!

You are one of those lucky people who look naturally funny (as in ha,ha, not like a mong or summat). You are a funny man as well. A very funny enjoyable 3 minutes.

Thanks, Will, I spend a great deal of time making sure my face is as hilarious as can be.

David Bussell: I enjoyed your set very much, A relaxed and confident delivery with the novel screen approach (Ricky Gervais style) I would not know that you aren't already a big star.

Nat Wicks: I always enjoy your material and approach but please don't fall out with me. Some of your delivery sounded and looked a little like a teacher giving a lesson or even a best man at a wedding. I didn't like the finger pointing either.
You always look great and like you are going to tell funny stories so when you come on stage, I sit in anticipation.

I know you are still new and learning and I think of how some of the best comedians were truly awful in the begining. I saw the Eddie Izzard documentry the other night and he was so bad - I also remember Jo Brand being monotone and awful.
I only had the bottle to say the above things because I root for you all the way and my points were only minor ones. :)
