The Spicer Life - Episode One: The Placement Page 4

I fear with your bad-habits within production that writing something for you would be a waste of time. I suppose that's a common fear with any writer, not writing for themselves though.

Apart from the baffling 'road' noise, I wouldn't say it's badly produced. Unless, I've mistaken what you were getting at, Amott.

Sorry, I didn't necessarily mean badly produced. There are just a lot of errors in there, that have proven to take away from the "material". Is what I meant, Ricketts.

Oh I see. Well, from errors we can but learn.

You'd of thought so.

;)

My advice would be to cut it down by half to reduce the waffling and get at the meat of the character. Then build towards longer pieces.

I suspect your advice will fall on deaf ears.

How dare you speak such words about our luminary Cotter?!

I very dare (tee hee).

I listened to this again just now.
As the first time that I've tried to listen to either episode my Computer weirdly crashed which can somethimes be annoying.

I think there are some nice bits in the script & I can see where the jokes are. but it seemed a bit like a few ideas stitched onto eachother rather than an organic monologue.

You could have all the good bits in half the time & still made it sound just as structured or free flowing as it was. In my opinion.

In fact as I was listening I thought it would work just as well if not better as a diary.

The voice sounds good most of the time, and your acting is improved but it's still a bit rough around the edges.

I shall now listen to episode 2 again.

Does each ep have a different writer or writers?

What SS said (apart from the computer crashing).

Steve talks a lot of sense here (his wife must be back from her trip : :P)

You work hard James my boy. That's why I like you :D

Does each ep have a different writer or writers?

Yes. There are three writers who write two episodes each.
