RIP Peter Falk Page 2

One with a nice little old lady who was a crime writer who was the murderer.

Well that's that ruined.

You clearly have never seen an episode.

You see who does it at the start.

Laughing out loud

He was excellent in the film Murder By Death, where he played private detective Sam Diamond, a wonderful spoof of Bogart's Sam Spade. More people should watch Murder By Death.

:( RIP. Columbo must surely be the most loved TV character ever, thanks largely to Falk's shambling charm.

Except for one episode, where you don't find out until the end who the killer is.

Just remembered he was in Princess Bride! Reading the story to Wonder Years. :(

I watched it on one of the ITV channels last weekend. Quality.

Just adding one more RIP. Great show. Beautifully done and brilliantly acted.

Other memorable roles were the hardcase corporal in Anzio and the initially cynical sergeant in Castle Keep. (Funny how as an actor you are either an officer or other ranks - very few get to play both.)

A complete original and Columbo was a wonderful creation (a role originally intended for Fred Astaire I believe.)

The funeral director was wossisname Patrick McGooghan from "The Prisoner".. Number 6.

Caught with a piece of cheese if I remember - we're all fuggin' Columbo experts on here.

R.I.P Peter Falk. I shall make a chilli and smoke a cheap cigar tomorrow night in memoriam.

You should see his peformance in the film "Made" with Jon Faverau and Vince Vaughn. Genius.

Not as I recall..

Caught after a persons ashes were scattered over the Hollywood hill huge name display thingy.

Eeek, shows how unobservant I am; I never realised Peter Falk had a glass eye.

Columbo was very entertaining but I much prefered Falk in his film roles, especially the hard hitting ones he did with Cassevetes directing. In those you could see there was a real acting talent he had. A very popular actor with other actors, I believe as he had worked outside the acting profession for a long time before he got regular roles. He was also very good at comedy.
