Extras work Page 2

I was in a scene in the Jason Statham movie, Cellular, which got cut. It was obviously very expensive to stage too, with Santa Monica pier closed for the day, huge lights brought in to turn an unusually foggy LA day into a bright, sunny one, big cranes, a crowd of a few hundred extras and the band G Love playing live.

And of course the Bussell.

I would love to do extras stuff, but the day job is just too damn cakewalky.

Oh and there's not enough regular stuff in Newcastle.

That's INCREDIBLY interesting! I'm not sure if it's racist though if it was invented by slaves as a way of satirising the rich White families' dances. Saying that, I didn't read up to the point where it was talking about the minstrel shows, so it could have changed dramatically in it's meanings.

Alas no, if I was I'd have given his daughter a good seeing to.

Surely if you could double as her Dad you'd be the last guy she'd want to sleep with.

I have done some. Incredibly boring! Had a good chat with Alun Armstrong once mind, which was nice.

I didn't read much of that, but the fact you said it's too cakewalky would suggest your comment couldn't be interpretted as racist to my mind, from what I read. I daresay you may be racist, but the Bussell hasn't found the definitive proof yet.

I remember she got about £400 a week which by any standard was a good wage for an 18 year old a few years back.
And no work expenses - taken, fed and brought back.

Yeah, not many people could say no to 4 monkeys a week in their back pocket... Or is a monkey £500?

I certainly hope I'm not racist, as I like pretty much everyone and would hate to have to change my world view in light of the situation :(

For clarity, I meant that my work was easy and paid good money (not prostitution), so the temptation to leave and pursue something more fun is slightly diminished.

Including Nazi's, KKK and that racist chemist with a small penis in my sketch.

That's pretty racialist.

Everyone apart from mean people.

Everyone apart from mean people.

And now you're picking on me!
*dissapears to the cave of sulking in a cloud of yellow sulphurous gas*

I did get replaced as an Extra on The Saint by Val Kilmer I think he saw the rushes and was jealous, so I never did appear sitting next to Alun Armstrong in the film! :(

G-Love and Special Sauce? I saw them live at the Hacienda in Manchester, just before it closed down in '95, and also at Glastonbury in 2000. Actually, hold on...*rummages in drawer*, yep, I've still got the flyer from the '95 show.
