It appears that a lot of it has to do with proving Biblical passages. There are some fundamentalists that insist that everything in the Bible is factual and provable. There's the whole "the world is 6000 years old" thing and the "Man walked among dinosaurs" thing. I think there's a museum a few hours north of me that purports to have dinosaur tracks with human footprints alongside them.

Yes, I've heard about all that. But why the need to cover it up? Are the scientists covering it up or someone else?

I assume indignant Bible believers claim that non-believers are covering it up because they aren't good Christians. Not sure how Spielberg comes into play, however.

Something has always struck me as fishy when it comes to the Bible. Yes it is a holy scripture, but it's native (as it were) language is not English. It was Aramaic or something like that documenting events from 2000 years ago. I couldn't trust an important document that has been translated God knows how many times until it reaches English. It is impossible to convey what someone is really saying even Spanish to English (vice versa) which are two fairly similar languages. Unless something has been planned from that point to present day and someone/thing knew the languages of today and translated it already, I don't know it just seems wrong to me. I barely trust science or history on what they think happened that long ago. We should all follow Socrates' example.

Again, let me just make it clear, I'm not saying these conspiracy theories are true. I'm merely repeating what I've read/heard. I'm not religious, and haven't even been to church for over 20 years.

As for the other conspiracy theories, I've heard about them all, and many more, and, if you learn enough about them, they are equally as fascinating as the giants.

I think I saw a stone/rock very similar to Leevils a year or two back but I was Tripping at the time, over other rocks on a very pebbly beach.

There are many, many kooks in the world and the Internet makes it easy for them to gather.

Jesse Ventura is an actor working for a television show that makes money off of "investigating" crap like this. He also spent most of his life fake-fighting in a wrestling ring while wearing spandex tights. He is not a credible scientist nor expert in this matter.

Next week I'll be taking a tour of the Nevada Test Site with my father. He's going to show me some of the places he worked while nuking the crap out of the desert. The NTS shares a border with Area 51 so I'll make sure to keep an eye out for aliens.
