Stoned?

Went to the beach for the weekend. Found a weird stone/rock. Wondering if anyone knows any quick ways to identify the material. My first thought was flint, but after a quick Google I'm in doubt. It doesn't look like an amazing find, I'm just a bit bored and currently looking at the stone and am a bit curious.

On that note and to justify this thread. Anyone ever found any interesting fossils/prehistoric tools or weird things on the beach or during a dig in the back garden?

I imagine there are quite a lot of websites with rock identification charts.

Used to find these a lot on the beach.

Haven't seen any for about 10 years though.

Have I accidentally picked a suspiciously "sexy" image of Dwayne Johnson?

I like a nice big pebble. But it's murder walking across a lot in your bare feet.

Quite. Imagine the amount of sand in his beard.

How do they know it was a humanoid anyway?

And why not have a big bed if you're the King? He probably had loads of porcupines.

I've found a few Native American arrowheads. My hometown in Florida was a fossil paradise and you could find as many horse/camel/shark teeth as you'd like. There were also fossils from giant manatees, sloths, turtles and armadillos -- everything seemed to be huge back in those days.

My Mojave Desert camping/shooting/drinking excursions of involve climbing through treacherous rocks to collect trilobites.

Like I said. Not very exciting but a weird shape.
