I've developed an idea for a possible drama script...
Greg and Marion are expecting a baby. Marion is already a month into her pregnancy. Greg's ex-wife Karen moves in next door. Determined to re-kindle her relationship with Greg, Karen pushes Marion down a flight of stairs so that she loses the baby. When the police question Marion in hospital, she insists that Karen pushed her, but Karen states that she only found Marion unconsciousness, suggesting that she threw herself down the stairs in order to gain more attention from Greg. Marion's continual claims that Karen pushed her leave Greg convinced that his wife is unstable and contemplates having her sectioned, as Marion has assured him that the she isn't to blame for the death of his baby. While Marion remains in hospital, Greg and Karen start an affair, which results in Karen becoming pregnant. When Marion hears the news, she discharges herself from hospital and confronts Karen at the tower block. After provocation from Karen, Marion, in a fit of rage, unintentionally kills her by holding her over the balcony from which she falls to her death. With Greg as a witness, Marion is jailed.
... but I feel it might be to similar to an Emmerdale storyline from 2009.
