What was that sitcom called?

I'm trying to remember the name of a sitcom that was shown when I was a kid (mid to late 1980s) and seem to remember enjoying and looking forward to each week. Can anyone else remember it or what it was called from my poor description?

Opening titles had a Tommorow's World clip with one of the presenters holding a big bottle of some chemical that caused instant aging, she drops it.

Everyone is wiped out apart from four people in a small village who survived for various reasons. They try to cope in a world without people, uncertain whether they are the only ones left alive in the world.

Forgotten what it was called but was written by Mike Wallingford and Tony Millan and starred Mike Grady and the bird who used to be on Whose line is it anyway? It wasn't great.

Not With A Bang, in that case.

[EDIT] Ah Zoooo came up with the title whilst I was typing the below message.

Cheers, your info and my googling skills have managed to uncover the name. It was called Not With A Bang.

I seem to remember enjoying it when it was broadcast, in 1990, I was 13. I'll see if I can find any clips anywhere and see if I still like it.

I watched it recently. The title's quite apt.

The idea of it sounds excellent though. Maybe they should remake it.
I do love a bit of post apocalyptic stuff.
