Yes they are cruel eyes they see all. :)

But they are still not seeing what the engine of your show is? What is it to be about episode by episode. What is at the heart of it?

Hello Marc P, if you have the time could you give some examples of what you mean? What, in your opinion, would the engine of say Fawlty Towers or Father Ted be?

I'm intriqued and would like to learn. Thanks, Jacparov.

Well Fawlty Towers is all about pomposity pricked. A humourous dig at middle england. A pompous man with delusions of grandeur has grand schemes to turn his hotel into The Ritz by the Sea which is never going to happen and as ever he is the architect of his own disaster.

Haven't seen Father Ted for ages. But is basically a relationships type of programme. A house share - only this house share is made up of priests on an island full of priests. Father Ted is the one eyed priest in the land of the blind priests if you like.

In fact the 'relationships' are the most important part of any sitcom usually. So if you nail what it is about - you can then find characters and their relationships with each other that best serve the central premise.

Thanks Marc, much appreciated. :)
