Obviously, it's just been announced that BBC Three have picked up the US version - http://www.youtube.com/user/WilfredonFX - staring Elijah Wood, but has anyone seen the Australian version? It's bloody hilarious IMO.
Wilfred
Yes, I've watched this quite a few times. Pleasantly different comedy fare in which a man wearing a dogskin smokes weed and swears a lot.
Sounds like Brian from Family Guy.
True. But imagine that Brian is a human-size laconic Australian.
*tries to imagine*

With a very foul-mouth.
I'll give this a whirl tonight.

It's not exactly laugh a minute, and I suspect it'll run out of steam pretty quickly, but it's fairly watchable.
Spent half the time slack jawed thinking "what??????" and the rest laughing out loud. I think that it could be great - not every minute but then I don't think that the best comedy is entirely consistent
I wondered if anyone else was watching... I quite like it, although I was quite surprised about the amount of drugs the dog smokes. But then my cat and I have lead a sheltered life.
I love it.

Weed is semi-legal in California these days... though it's pretty central to the Aussie version as well and I'm pretty sure it's regular old illegal there.
I like the dynamic of the US version with Wilfred belonging to the crush/infatuation instead of the girlfriend. Just makes the whole thing more desperate.
It's a nice idea - intriguing, even. But it gets boring quite quickly.
Watched about ten minutes the other day, but it didn't really pull me in.
I watched about eight episodes. I usually find myself really laughing hard two or three times an episode, but other than that I just find it really compelling television.
The central relationship is bizarre enough to hold the attention, the central mystery is intruiging, the Aussie feller whose name I've forgot is very charismatic...
I'm really enjoying it.
