I thought it was excellent.

It's not high brow and it's not exceptionally clever but it delivers laughs pretty consistently.

S.mouse is inspired. Some of the raps had me gasping for air. I want his album :)

Have to agree with the comment above as well, two episodes back to back is just a showing a complete lack of belief in the show on The BBC's part.

a bit like 'we can be heroes' there were parts in the show where you don't know whether to laugh or cry.

i must have enjoyed it because I watched both episodes and was waiting for more. he seems to be able to play with the audience's emotions and hightens funny moments by pushing all your buttons.

for example, where gran comforts the 'dog wanker'. it's genuine stuff. and also talks about the guy who committed suicide.

i liked it,think he's trying something a bit different, which is admirable.

I love the twins. Especially the deaf one. He's a better actor than I thought!
Loved the way they showed how much he loved his twin by not wanting him to go to deaf school. Aw.

Lilley's a bit like Gervais in that we've seen all his tricks before. But that doesn't stop them from being good tricks.

I didn't watch this 'We can be heroes' thing everyone keeps mentioning. So is new to me!

Watch it. It's good, especially for the character rolling around Australia for charity!

Chris Lilley's an acquired taste.

Laughing out loud

Ah well, can't be for everyone!

True, but I'm thinking that if you find this funny then it is quite likely that you are/were already a fan of maybe CAMPUS and The Inbetweeners. (Generalising, other comedic interests not taken into account here.) Because to me it seems to be along the same sort of lines (bus wankers etc).

They strike me as wildly different types of comedy. Chris Lilley's comedy is almost painfully real at times, unlike the two shows you mention.

Perhaps I'm just grouping them incorrectly, or I am grouping them correctly according to my taste. Oh well.

I hate Campus and The Inbetweeners.

Really enjoyed the two episodes shown; though the biggest laugh was in the trailer for ep 3, when a new character said something like 'It was then I knew I'd been shot in the balls.'

Fair enough.

I'm enjoying this. Not as good as Summer Heights High, but still entertaining. It's more along the lines of We Can Be heroes.

I really think Chris Lilley does a great job of believably portraying vastly different characters.

Anyone watching this that finds it remotely interesting should not hesitate to check out Summer Heights High.

Mostly excelent but it doesn't seem to have the unifying setting that Summer Heights High had. You know it's all set in a school so everything ties together.

Also S.Mouse seems to have wandered from some sort of second rate rap based Spinal Tap.

But Nan and the twins more than compensate.

NATHAN!
