British Comedy Guide

1 week and counting...

In one weeks time, I would have set up my tent, got my fold out chair out, cracked open a Stella, getting ready for 5 days of frolics at Glastonbury (I've bored everyone at work about it, now it's your turn)

Who would you lot have headling at your own festival if you could have one? (Dead or Alive)

Incidently, I meant the artist can be Dead or Alive, not the band... they were shit.

I don't got to many festivals as I have this little problem, I err hate people and would hate to be stuck in a field full of them.

Yes I used to be somewhat agoraphobic, not so much a fear, but more annoyance.

Ditto.

You don't know what your missing out on Leevil/Aaron. It's at places like that you realise how cool people can be. We went to a lesser, much more corporate festival, a few years ago - Everything was sorted, apart from one little problem. We'd forgot the poles for the tent. With 4 days of camping ahead our only option was 6 of us, and all our gear, in a 4 man tent.

Next thing we know, we're sat listening to RATM and having a few beers. The lads camping next to us come over and have a crack. Find our plight highly amusing, but then let us stay in their spare tent (!?) or "guest suite". We've been friends ever since...... till we lost touch. But my points still valid!

Friday - Stone Roses/Led Zeppelin
Saturday - Chems/Orbital
Sunday - Rage Against the Machine/Pixies

I can totally understand how it can be fun and sometimes I would be up for it.

But generally, I'm not a very enthusiastic person.

I was always the type of kid who never wanted to go anywhere but when you got me there I wouldn't want to leave.

I'd want to leave even if you did drag me there, generally. ;)

Anyway, I could never go to a festival, for a number of reasons.

1) The kinds of people I hate would be there.
2) Mud.
3) Heat and no fan.
4) Mud.
5) Almost certainly shit music.

Oh and...

6) No Internet or TV.

Friday - Janis Joplin/Bowie
Saturday- White Stripes/Amy Winehouse
Sunday - The Kooks/Marc Bolan

Have a great time Ginger Jesus!

Try and see Rufus Wainwright at Glasto!
He's on the 'other' stage. (How insulting)

I can't go. :( Even though it's just down the road.

Like Aaron i couldn't enjoy a festival like this, mud, heat, all cramped up, plus some absolute nutters turn up (i'm not sure if Charley is going but i can't take a chance like that) i hope you enjoy it Ginger and i expect we will be hearing about it when you get back, i would kill myself if i went that long with out t.v. and shitting in a toilet that hasn't got the words "dangerous chemicals" scrawled across the side.
