British Comedy Guide

Fantasy Brit Sitcom

OK, here's a new game that I've just made up and I hope will be a hit on here. You come up with your own idea for a sitcom. Give it a name, a situation, a main cast of up to three British actors and three British actresses, and finally a cameo list of up to five people. Feel free to comment, participate and get your friends and family involved. Make it as vague or as detailed as you like. I'm off to have a bash myself... insert your own punch line here.

Have fun everyone. ;o)

I think most people in the writer's forum are always playing this game.

Name: Michael's Balls

Situation: Michael Ball decides to enter into the World Snooker Championships with the help of John Virgo and Jim Davidson.

Actors: Michael Ball, John Virgo and Jim Davidson.

Guest stars: Stephen Hendry (as bored man #2)

Is it a love triangle where one get framed for murder?

My ultimate uber sitcom would be Dad's Fawlty Porridge.

My reserve almost-uber sitcom would be Some Mothers Do Have Fools and Butterflies.

I've got an even better game...

You come up with your own idea for a sitcom. Give it a name, a situation, a cast, and write it. Make sure it's really good - a Tour De Force in fact. Then post it under the moniker, 'David Bussell'. Finally, relinquish all concerns about ownership. The winner is the first to see their work on the screen!
