Coming Of Age cancelled

One of the actors has tweeted there won't be another series: http://twitter.com/joetracini/status/66193067996221440

There is a god.

There is a god.

And more importantly, he's not Aaron.

Damn. You beat me to it.

It is disappointing news. I hope the new channel controller commissions something even more outrageous to fill its considerable shoes.

*sigh* I liked it. Probably because I am the target audience (15 y.o. boy). All my friends that watched it liked it. Even my sister (18) liked it.
I will admit that it was crap though; I think everyone will. But it had jokes about knobs and a fit girl with big tits and that's all I want in a programme.
Sorry.

I thought it was terrible but I don't celebrate its demise. It's the bin Laden of BBC comedy.

'The show's writer and creator Tim Dawson told us: "Of course I'm incredibly proud of what Coming Of Age has achieved for BBC Three, and I'm delighted that a generation of teenagers took us to their hearts. I'm looking forward to delivering further popular sitcoms to the BBC."'

'I don't think you should see your future just here at the BBC, Tim... I see a lot of exciting possibilities for you elsewhere... Of course, if you ever have any new ideas...' - Tony Hayers, Chief Commissioning Editor of BBC Television (deceased)

Anyway...

...it's been a fun and interesting 4 years here on the BCG, but my work here is done.

Bye-bye.

Wave

I would like to see photographic evidence of the corpse, as I believe this show has been infact dead for the last 2 years.

Could someone please explain to me one thing I never understood about this show... when the one kid does his "rap" every episode, was that meant to be funny or cool?

Neither, they had no concept of either funny or cool. Literally.

2 Pints has finished too right? Now we just need to see the end of Will Mellor's career and the victory for basic common sense will be complete.

No, there's a new series on now.

Oh yeah, damn... Oh well Yay for this getting cancelled anyway.

If the ratings were okay for this, it does sound like it was cancelled for being low-rent and a bit embarrassing.
