The original Bridget Jones barely did its job as a perfunctory rom-com. The 2nd was just dire. So, yes, there will almost certainly be a 3rd.
I don't think I've heard anything confirmed, although spoken about quite openly, that a stage musical is under production, to star Sheridan Smith.

Both the films (and both the books) are jolly enjoyable.
I thought the first was passable, mainly down to Hugh Grant, and the second was cack.

Clueless is obviously also good.
I can manage to like more than one film at a time though.
