You just know that's going to end up as his signature Ben. *shakes head*

For my part, I'd say (in no particular order and with apologies for omissions) zooo, WIll Cam, Chip, Tim, and John Lucas.

If it was always appearing to know what he's talking about, I'd go Griff.

It's unfair to single people out. I'll have no part of it.

well it's when you pick a big slate o names the absences become more apparent...

Sorry sooty. I was including critique in my thinking... ;)

Pffft. Easy to say when you've been mentioned.

Take it outside, Billy No-mention!

Hmmm, Steve and Tim haven't posted in this thread, I guess they're scared of the responsibility that comes with their great comedic powers - it's up to you to offer them strong leadership Sootyj, as the leader of the JLA!

I just don't agree with this type of thread ever since I didn't even get a mention in the last one.

Cool Steve, Tim fancy forming a superhero gang of comedy writers?

The JLA? Jokers League of Amusement?

I thought we might call ourselves "The Deathly HaHaLows"

I personally like this thread.
I like this thread twice.

Are you having a laugh? Is he having a laugh? It's just a bit of fun if you weren't joking.

I personally like this thread.
I like this thread twice.

Why, because you were mentioned twice? For shame.

I'll be checking this thread from time to time.

Just for the record.

That Kevin Murphy cracks me up.

The other Kevin Murphy that is.

That Nil Putters is pretty funny as well, you know the one... Oh wait, I meant Kevin Murphy!

This thread should be locked.

Oh no, I did mean Nil Putters.

You tell em my hero

All this talk of who's the funniest member does seem rather gauche and 'not the done thing' - and frankly I'm now starting to feel a bit embarrassed for pestering Vader to start this thread...

Pretty much every regular on here has made me chuckle, titter or guffaw at some time (obviously I don't chortle, out of loyalty) - due to something they have posted which is either intentionally or unintentionally funny. Even Aaron can be funny when the mood takes him! (2008 was the year the mood took him, fyi.)

Feels very wrong giving (or receiving) any special mentions but (in no particular order) sootyj, Griff, Steve Sunshine (or "the guv'nor" as he's known in comedy circles, due to the fact he runs a pub), Ben (either a dry comic genius or borderline Asperger's), zooo (bless!), Bussell, Chip, Mr Lucas, Timbo, Marc P, the dangerous Mr Taxis, Nils, Leevil, Badge and Kevin Murphy all spring immediately to mind... But there are several others outside of the BCG Clique that all contribute some funny moments as well - doing particularly well amongst the "ordinaries" at present is young Nat Wicks - she's got the potential to go all the way, that lad.

Then again, us most-frequent posters are probably going to eventually post something quite funny simply due to the fact we post/try so often - just the law of averages really. And let's face it, if it were a constant gag-fest of people trying to be funny in every single post, then this place would probably become suffocating, irritating, unfunny and irrelevant - rather like a Twitter hashtag stream. Or an evening down the pub with Andy Parsons.

The comedy world (and also the BCG) will always need its straight men. :)

EDIT: Oh and wherever they are... Renegade Carpark & Scottidog - v. funny people.
