Be aware that when buying a receiver that includes TopUpTV, the TopUpTV firm includes a leaflet for a free for 1 month service for say SkySports1 etc.
In very small print it also says
A 30 day cancellation period applies to all services (plus an additional fee may be charged for reconnection) so if if you don't want to be charged after the free period you must give notice to cancel when you first take advantage of the offer.
If you do call to 'take advantage of the offer' the staff seem not inclined to remind you of this and in my case gave the impression that if I cancelled near the end of the free period I would not get charged. (though she probably did not exactly say that).
So on calling to cancel today I found that I will get charged for one months service as a result of taking up a so-called free offer. The only way I could have avoided it was by cancelling BEFORE I had chance to evaluate whether I found the service desirable.
It's legal but despicable. Hence I'll never ever buy anything from TopUpTV again.
