Two Pints - Series 9 Page 4

There are elements of truth and believability in how they interact; it's just heightened, because that's the kind of sitcom the show is. And are.

Hey, this isn't actually about series 9, but it's been bugging me.

In season six, episode 3 (Mummy Cupboard), Gaz proposes to Donna. You see this and a couple of other scenes which take place in their flat.

But in this episode (and for this episode only) the flat has been switched. We see the fourth wall we've never seen before and don't see the opposite wall we do see, if you know what I mean.

Anyone know why they did this? Was it a different set for some reason? Because obviously they'd have had to build that wall, and there was no reason in the storyline to see the scenes from that angle.

Thanks!

Hi Brett,

Without re-watching, I imagine that there were simply some shots they wanted to do from different angles. Very unlikely they'd have been using a whole different set, those things cost thousands to make.

Does anyone know when or if there will be a Series 10? And when would we find out, cause that cliffy was a bitch. And I want to know what happens next.

A decision is unlikely to be made until a little later in the year. From what I hear, it seems that a 10th series - or at least a final special episode or two - is quite likely, but by no means a certainty, particularly with the new channel controller. Fingers crossed.

I hope it def happens, because that would be just cruel to end it like that. If there was at least a special to wrap it all up, I'd be happy. Thanks for letting me know.

I hope it does come back, will have to keep an eye out for filming in Runcorn.

Dave, you live in Runcorn?

I hope if it returns that they will make more effort to integrate the newer characters with the established ones. We rarely saw Donna and Cassie together in this past series and it was like watching 2 different sitcoms at times.

Dave, you live in Runcorn?

Oh dear Lord no! I could never live in that shithole.

I live in Widnes (not that much better, but still a slight improvement) which is next to it, we are part of the same borough (Halton) share the same local authority and a bridge (yes THAT bridge). If I get the bus into Runcorn (rarely) it goes past The Waterloo (The Archer) and into the Old Town (the shitty rundown town centre you see) and past The Bank Chambers (the bar where they have a night out) and the kebab shop - it really does exist sadly.

If you say you live in runcorn then I retract all negative comments.

No, I don't live in Runcorn, I live in the United States. :)

Well stranger things have happened, it's not a good place anyway.

Hi everyone - if you're a fan of Two Pints, then you might like my new 6-part webcom called Liquid Lunch, about two guys who meet in the pub to break up the monotony of their working day but when they realise life is passing them by, they decide to do something about it.

We're currently up to ep4 (new eps every Friday), and each vid is about 2mins long.

Sorry for the shameless plug but thought it might be of interest, thanks!

Looks like that was the last pint of lager.

However, I understand that the Watch repeats are currently smashing BBC Three in the ratings, so the show has quite a life yet. :)

They killed Two Pints! Bastards!

After the last episode they could at least wrap it up properly so we know if Donna is dead or not!!!! Jeez, 9 series and they didn't find time to wrap it up.
