National Pride (or the Andy Murray Syndrome)

The continuing bid to get commissioned for the next run of Look Away Now...

COMMENTATOR Welcome to the 2011 Masters at Augusta. We're expecting a strong British challenge following that stunning win in last year's Ryder Cup. Where we beat the Americans.

FEMALE VOICEThursday.

COMMENTATORAnd just look at the leader board. Out in front we have young Rory McIlroy. Good to see the Union flag at the top of the table.

FEMALE VOICEFriday.

COMMENTATORExcellent play again by the young British player. Leading home a good charge by our British pack.

FEMALE VOICESaturday.

COMMENTATORThe penultimate day has been another good one for the old red, white and blue. The Brits have absolutely dominated here and we're anticipating a great day tomorrow.

FEMALE VOICESunday.

COMMENTATORWe enter the final day with our Rory four strokes clear of the field. Could this be another major in less than twelve months for Britain?

FEMALE VOICEFirst hole

COMMENTATORNot the best of starts for the Briton. A dropped shot at the first.

FEMALE VOICETenth hole.

COMMENTATOROh, and problems here for McIlroy.

FEMALE VOICEEleventh hole.

COMMENTATORAnd again it's gone wrong for the man from Belfast.

FEMALE VOICEAmen Corner.

COMMENTATORAnother disaster for the Ulsterman.

FEMALE VOICEThe Eighteenth.

COMMENTATORAnd what can we say? So, so disappointing in the end for Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy. This great Irish hope must be devastated to have buckled under the pressure in two consecutive years. Perhaps the Irishman can come back from this but only time will tell. However, we can celebrate a good showing by the Commonwealth with all those Aussies at the top of leaderboard.

That would not get commissioned by that funny radio show, as it is not funny enough.

Keep trying though.
