How would you describe your style?

With 7 Ages of Rock currently on TV I wondered how you'd describe your style.

I was a very half-hearted punk cos I had an office job but had brushed back spikey hair - now very grey.

My impressions of some of you are as follows:-

Ellie - Bubbly Girlie
Mike - Early 70's hippy
Jude - bit of a Goth
Leevil - make-up wearing Glam Rock gayo
Aaron - specky nerd
Charley - Tramp.

Are my impressions correct?

(Uhm) 60's actually ... still got the little painted bells somewhere from the busking with me mate in the Strand!

I'm a soul man, with the more Blues Based Rock of the 50-60's.

Damn I love music history documentaries didn't know about this. Is this BBC download thing up yet?

I change styles at least every other day, but they always return.

Late 60s-Early 70s British Businessman seems to be the one that I get into most.

Then there's always Folk-man of the South...

But my personal favorite is the very sleezy, late 70s ladies-man.

However, I'm sure something new will come along soon.

Yes, that's basically it, rhythm track first, then bass, then percussion, then lead guitar, then possibly second lead, then harmonica (sometimes), then keyboards (sometimes), then vocal, then vocal harmonics (sometimes). Since they're all different tracks it's possible to pan them around the 'stage', add individual effects ... or anything else that comes to mind. I've got loads of tracks of 'crowd' sounds, for example ... so if the intention is to sound like something's being played in a soddin' great stadium it's kinda easy to do! A lot of my stuff is however made up of 'covers', but unfortunately Soundclick are a bit sniffy about copyright infringment (so I tend to keep those to myself). Whoops ... just found you can't access the above unless you're a logged-in forum member ... it's free but you may not want to bother with that! The recording gizmo is the BOSS BR900CD in the middle of the pics somewhere.
Anyway, when a tune's done the BOSS can do a combination track on a CD, or it's possible to store all the individual components and come back weeks or months later to change anything one wishes. It's great fun ... and despite the apparently high volume of the final result the majority of the recording is monitored with just headphones.

AJP - Well I fantasise he is a little Colin Farrelly.

Britcom Barry - Possibly a wee dwarf or munchkin.
