Yes or No to the AV Vote? Page 15

The Libdems conduct since they 'came into power' is shameful.

Bunch of liars.

Hopefully they are finished as a political party for a good 50 years or so.

In a straight fight between Tory and Labour in the next general election hopefully people will see sense and kick the tory scum out once again.

I agree, but Labour have no chance with Ed in charge. David would be in a great position in 2015 if he'd got the leadership.

:(

News just in - AV assassinated at referendum !

It was shot through the head by majority indifference which left a huge exit wound through Nick Cleggs' ego. Due to the sensitivity of this issue the coalition government will not be releasing any pictures as it may result in people becoming unnecessarily cheerful.

:D Very good.

I can't wait until May 2015. Not because I want to wish my life away, or shit, but because I'm hoping for a Michael Portillo-style 'whooooooosh' to be given to Nicholas Clegg by the good people of Sheffield.

Is it realistic to expect that a city with a large student population will decapitate this ********? Or will the anger have died down by then?

I'm staying up all night. It will be the greatest moment of my life.

That's the massive irony in this, call it poetic justice or whatever, but if Clegg hadn't have sold out so blatently to take LibDams into partial power and more importantly, himself into the deputy PM role, then his cherished fairer voting system policy would not have been blown to bits, it might even have got through. For a couple of years of shared power, he's foreited hundreds of thousands of votes for his party, making their future look very bleak now.

The Tories are the real winners because the old system suits them more than anyone. Cameron has played Clegg like a piano, he's completely sucked him in and killed off the PR threat and probably even the LibDems themselves.

I've no doubt that the reason the AV vote was lost was people wanted to give Clegg a kicking. If Clegg had been in the 'No' camp, I'm sure 'Yes' would have won.

So he should have just changed his mind in public again and campaigned for No. He would have got what he really wanted.

I'm sure it was up for consideration in Lib Dem HQ.

I can't help but feel that fun as it is, all this Clegg-hate is allowing Cameron an incredibly easy ride. The Tories should have been hammered on Thursday yet they did comparitively well.

They picked up all the LibDems losses in my neck of the woods which can only be described as frightening. But sadly its a question of weighing the Tory votes rather than counting them.

But you expect toughness/heartlessness from the Tories. You don't expect it from the flip-floppers in the yellow corner.

Just don't be surprised that come the next election everybody is so obsessed with crucifying the Lib Dems that the Tories get back in. With a majority of their own.

Well, I'll be ok with that as long as the smug smirk is wiped off Clegg's face.

I never thought I'd see the day when Lib Dem MPs would be whooping and cheering as a Tory chancellor announced hundreds of thousands of job losses in the Commons. Yeah, I know Labour ballsed up, but.....even so.

Well that's exactly it. Lib Dems have totally discredited themselves and people still haven't completely forgotten that it's Labour who were in charge through all the banks being given free reign.

You can disagree with tory policies as much as you like (and as a Lib Dem voter last election, I do), but at least they're doing exactly what they said they'd do in the election. I'm not surprised they're doing well when you see what they're up against.

This.

Most people voted Lib Dem in the last general election because they'd had enough of Labour but still couldn't bring themselves to vote for the Tory's. Lib Dems were the only other main option (sorry voters of the Greens, Ukip etc etc (but f**k you, you BNP c**ts)).

Now they know the Lib Dems are ALSO a bunch of liars that will say anything to get votes - so its simple - Labour or Tory.

Anybody with more than 11 brain cells would choose Labour over that lot.

Sorry, just my opinion!
