Belly of the Beast (Now filmed)

I finally got round to editing the footage we shot for this sketch, I hope you enjoy it.

Woot! good job mate is a great idea. Bits looked better then others probably do with a bit more post stuff. But overall pretty nice.

Cheers Gav. The colours always look a bit harsh on YouTube, although I probably did overdo the level adjustments slightly.

Might of been worth adding a little bit of noise, just to make it sit together a bit more. But like I said it looked good :) Just for next one :)

Have you got into AE yet? Think it'd benefit you immensely.

Next time I'll noise it up! :)

No I haven't looked at AE, it's a bit too expensive and I don't like using dodgy software. Plus, I love Blender wich is open source and has tonnes of features keeping me busy at the moment!

This has had a bit of a 'meh' response so far :(

First and Last Bump!

Well done on finally finishing this. It looks great. The script is good but not really laugh out loud funny. The performances are okay too. I hate to say this, but it's not your best work. Bloody good effort though.

I think this would have benefited from a vicious edit. I like the idea and the Sarlacc but when the acting is weak (apologies) you should engineer your script around it. You could have done with a few shadows as well but the main problem was the acting.

:)

It's good stuff, ShoePie.

Thanks for the comments, I thought about editing it down in a few places but it's only 80 odd seconds and the footage I had didn't really allow it. Plus, if I can't produce sketches longer than a minute I might as well give up!

Oh well, back to 2D animation for a while.

Don't be deterred from doing a longer sketch, you have some strong ideas and you don't get better by not doing. You get alot of hits too, so don't listen to me!

Don't give up, Shoe! You're still learning and experimenting. I got a lot of respect for you. Think how far you have come from cartoon strips to 3D sarlacceses.

:)

Thanks for the comments.

I won't give up :) Although my todo list will be empty next week for the first time in over 4 years, so I might just enjoy that feeling for a while!

Nice one Shoey. Really enjoyed it :D

Good one!! Great compositing....what did you use for that?
